HOW TO REACH US

Salina has two ports: Santa Marina Salina (main port), located on the east side of the island, and Rinella, a smaller port located on the south side. The village of Malfa, where our property is located, is slightly closer to the port of Santa Marina Salina.

Here are some options to reach our beautiful island:

• Hydrofoils: Salina Island can be reached by hydrofoil from the ports of Milazzo, Messina, Reggio Calabria, and (only in summer) Palermo and Naples. The shortest journey (1h30) is from the port of Milazzo. You can view routes and schedules, as well as purchase tickets online, on the Liberty Lines website.
• Ferries: It is also possible to travel by ferry, including with your own vehicle, from the ports of Milazzo and Naples. The ferry journey from Milazzo takes about 3 hours. You can view routes and schedules, as well as purchase tickets online, on the Caronte & Tourist website.
• Please note: Car disembarkation on Salina is not allowed from 15th June to 15th September for stays of less than 7 nights (with exceptions).
• By Air: The nearest airports are Catania, Reggio Calabria, and Palermo. From Catania airport, you can reach the ports of Messina and Milazzo by bus. Here are the websites where you can view routes and schedules:

  For private or shared transfers between Catania airport and Milazzo port (and vice versa), you can contact the Adige Autoservizi company in Milazzo.
  

Once you arrive at the ports of Santa Marina or Rinella, there are several ways to reach us.

Public Transport:

• Bus: From the ferry stations of Santa Marina and Rinella, you can take the local bus to Malfa. The bus runs approximately every hour. Tickets can only be purchased on board and in cash (credit card payments are not accepted). The ticket cost to Malfa is €2 per person.   Both the "Malfa" and "S. Lorenzo" stops are very close to our property.

Taxi or Car Rental:

• Taxi: Although it is possible to find taxis available at the port upon arrival, it is strongly recommended to book a taxi well in advance (at least 2 hours before). You must book a taxi in advance before any travel on the island. Here are the numbers of some local taxi drivers:

• Car Rental: If you prefer more autonomy during your stay, you can opt for car or scooter rental. It is necessary to book the rental vehicle well in advance, especially for the months of July and August. There are rental agencies near the ports of Santa Marina and Rinella.
